Jugad, a vibrant new Indian restaurant from Foodhak, opened in Camden's Stables Market in September 2024, bringing an innovative "food as medicine" dining experience to London.

With a menu crafted by executive chef Jose Fernandes, formerly of Gunpowder (recognised by Michelin Bib Gourmand), Jugad’s offerings are completely dairy- and refined sugar-free, with most dishes also gluten-free.

The menu is described by the Jugad team as having taken inspiration from all corners of the globe to craft a diverse and unique experience, offering classic Indian dishes alongside modern British favourites.

Starters include Bombay-style vada pao with garlic chutney, quail Scotch eggs with curried crab, and pomegranate-glazed chicken wings, and signature mains feature the dairy-free Delhi-style butter chicken, pan-fried sea bass with mole sauce, and Kashmiri lamb with papaya chutney.

For dessert, options include a jaggery pancake with saffron custard, and tapioca pearl kheer with mango. Guests can also enjoy an extensive drinks and cocktail menu which includes signature non-alcoholic cocktails by bar manager Olly Lambert (formerly of Soma), including a clean Marine Margarita, and Forest Scroppino with tonka and mango sorbet.

The 82-seat restaurant has a relaxed, rustic feel with communal wooden tables, exposed brick walls, and velvet accents. Jugad’s founder, Sakshi Chhabra Mittal, said “I faced the challenge of balancing a healthy diet with my love for dining out, which inspired the creation of Jugad by Foodhak

It’s a place where traditional Indian cuisine meets contemporary culinary techniques, offering an indulgent dining experience that is both healthy and delicious.
