NEW INDIAN RESTAURANT

LAGAN INDIAN TAPAS, NOTTINGHAM

Lagan Indian Tapas restaurant in Nottingham

Lagan Indian Tapas - the newest Indian restaurant in Nottingham - opened its doors in the city centre in November 2023.

Owner and restaurateur Suraj Pathak has opened the restaurant offering all-day dining, with the aim of bringing an Indian twist on tapas-style dining experience to central Nottingham.

The tapas menu has almost 20 options to pick, with classics like Pakoras and Bhajis,  through to more exotic dishes such as the Nepali-inspired Chicken or Vegetable Momos, and house specialties such as the Paneer Ka Sholay (cottage cheese packed with fresh mint, nuts, spices, and lightly barbecued).

There are also more traditional choices on the wider a la carte menu, with curries (the traditional Lamb Handi looks a great pick), biriyanis, wraps, and a grill menu with plenty of meat and seafood options.

As mentioned above too, as well as serving the dinner menu, Lagan offer an Indian twist on breakfast with dishes such as Masala Egg French Toast and a Tawa Omelette - and are also open for lunch with a selection of Chaats, Indian Wraps, grills and curries. And for anybody looking to celebrate, there is even a bottomless brunch option available all week, costing £34.95 at weekends, which includes a 3 course meal and 90 minutes of access to bottomless drinks.

Lagan has a great central location for anybody visiting Nottingham, just a 10 minute stroll from both Nottingham station and Nottingham Castle (as well as the iconic pub Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem - and it's likely to prove popular. Owner Suraj Pathak also runs a sister restaurant in nearby Beeston which has a 4.5 rating on Tripadvisor, and this experience will no doubt be carried over to their new High Pavement spot.
