NEW INDIAN RESTAURANT
VATAVARAN, KNIGHTSBRIDGE
Vatavaran – a new Himalayan-inspired fine dining restaurant in Knightsbridge, London – opened to diners in November 2024.
As the latest project by acclaimed chef Rohit Ghai and restaurateur Abhi Sangwan, Vatavaran offers a rich, Himalayan-inspired dining experience, with Ghai’s innovative open-flame cooking highlighting dishes deeply rooted in Indian traditions.
The menu is filled with bold selections, including Black Cumin Lamb Chops accompanied by mint chutney, Lobster Neelgiri enhanced with jaggery and shallots, and a Stone Bass dish cooked with coconut and tamarind. Guests can also enjoy reimagined classics such as Butter Chicken and the unique Duck Seekh Kebab.
The founders have an impressive portfolio that includes acclaimed London restaurants Kutir in Chelsea, and Manthan in Mayfair, all dedicated to elevating Indian cuisine.
Vatavaran’s four floors each echo Himalayan elements, creating a unique setting, while the top-floor Shikhar cocktail bar offers exclusive, herb-infused drinks inspired by the region’s tea estates.
